Located on an island in scenic McGregor Bay surrounded by miles of sheltered waterways.  Five 3BR housekeeping cottages with great views, kitchens and three-piece bath with shower.  One 4BR housekeeping cottage with kitchen, a two-piece and a three-piece bath, spacious dining/living room.  All cottages have private decks with gas grills; bedding and towels provided.  Cottage rental includes private dockage at lodge for your own boat. Round trip water taxi available from supervised mainland parking areas.  Canoe, kayak, boat and motor rentals available; canoeing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, bird watching, abundant nature and photo opportunities, fishing for pike, bass, perch, musky, lake trout, etc.  Parking at Birch Island off Hwy. 6 between Whitefish Falls and Little Current.

Since our Lodge is water access only, plan to bring in all your supplies for the duration of your stay.

There are two supermarkets on Hwy. 6 in Espanola, about a half hour north of Birch Island.  Little Current, about 15 minutes south, has a smaller supermarket and a grocery store, across the street from each other on Hwy. 6.  J&G Marina at Birch Island carries some grocery items, and there is a small general store in Whitefish Falls.

In Espanola, Canadian Tire sells fishing licenses at the courtesy desk.  You can also get one at Wally’s Dock Service in Little Current, on Water Street across from the Bank of Montreal.
